I was born during the winter in Mississippi, where it rarely snows. Although I have published a novel for adults under a pseudonym (to keep the intended audience ages separate), Winterborn is my first novel for children. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi College and a Masters from Belhaven University. When I'm not writing, I enjoy reading, art, music, movies, and video games. I have a weakness for TV shows, movies, games, and books that involve ghosts.
What I Write: Most everything I write involves some element of fantasy. Winterborn happens to be a middle grade fairy tale with a traditional setting. It includes fairies, witches, wizards, ghosts, and grimalkins. It occurs in the days leading up to Christmas.
What's Next: My current and future projects include picture books and more middle grade fantasy. Stay tuned to this blog to see work in progress, outtakes, and previews of new projects.
